What we fix
Common denture repairs we do
Cracked or split denture
A crack down the middle of an upper denture, or a denture that has broken into two pieces. We rejoin and reinforce the acrylic base so it fits the way it did before.
Broken or missing tooth
A denture tooth that has chipped, cracked or popped off. We bond in a new tooth that matches the shade and shape of the rest of your teeth.
Broken clasp on a partial
A metal or acrylic clasp that has snapped or bent so your partial no longer holds. We repair or replace the clasp so it grips your natural tooth again.
Adding a tooth to your partial
If you have had a natural tooth removed, we can often add a new tooth to your existing partial denture instead of making a whole new one.
Worn or chipped teeth
Teeth that have worn flat over the years make it harder to chew. We can replace worn teeth to restore your bite.
Loose dentures
A denture that rocks or slips usually needs a reline, not a repair. Loose dentures are also one of the main reasons dentures crack.

How a denture repair works
Call us first
Call 250-542-7423 and tell us what broke. All our clinic lines are answered, and we will tell you when to bring your denture in.
Bring it to our lab
Bring every broken piece, even small ones. Our technicians assess the damage and repair it in our Vernon lab.
Fit check and pick up
Before you leave, we check the repaired denture in your mouth so your bite and fit feel right. Urgent repairs are often ready the same day.
Why it happened
Why do dentures break?
- Dropping it on a hard floor or in the sink while cleaning
- A poor fit, because a loose denture flexes every time you bite until the acrylic cracks
- Worn teeth that put uneven pressure on the base
- Biting hard foods like nuts, ice or hard candy
- Age, since acrylic gets more brittle after many years of wear
If the same denture keeps breaking, the real problem is usually the fit. A reline or rebase or a new denture often fixes the cause, not just the crack.
Before you call
Please do not glue your denture
- Super glue and household glues are not safe to have in your mouth and can irritate your gums
- Glued pieces almost never line up perfectly, which changes your bite and can make your gums sore
- Glue left in a crack makes a proper lab repair harder and sometimes impossible
- Drugstore denture repair kits are a short-term patch at best, so call us before you try one
Put the pieces in a sealed bag or container and bring them in as they are. That gives us the best chance of a clean, strong repair.
Repair or replace?
When a repair is not enough
Repair it
Simple cracks, a broken or missing tooth and snapped clasps can almost always be repaired.
Reline it
If your denture is loose, rocks or keeps cracking, a reline refits the base to your gums as they are now.
Replace it
Dentures that are many years old, badly worn or broken in several places may be better replaced. We can talk through new full dentures or a new partial with you.

We bill insurance directly and we are a registered CDCP provider, so we can check what your plan covers when you call.

Can you repair my denture the same day?
Yes, we do urgent and same-day denture repairs. Call us first so we can get your denture into the lab right away. Most simple repairs, like a crack or a tooth that has come off, can be done the same day.
Do I need an appointment for a denture repair?
Please call ahead. Repairs are done in our Vernon lab, and calling first lets us plan the time so you are not waiting longer than you need to.
Can I use super glue to fix my denture?
No. Glue is not safe in your mouth, it rarely lines the pieces up properly, and it can make a proper repair harder. Bring the pieces to us as they are.
Can you repair dentures that were made somewhere else?
In most cases, yes. Bring your denture in and we will look at the damage and tell you whether a repair, a reline or a new denture makes the most sense.
Does insurance cover denture repairs?
Many plans cover denture repairs. We bill insurance directly and we are a registered CDCP provider, so we can check your coverage for you.
