About full dentures
What are complete dentures?
A complete denture, or full denture, replaces every tooth on the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both. The teeth are set in a gum-coloured base that rests on your gums. An upper denture is held in place by suction against the roof of your mouth. A lower denture sits on a narrower ridge, which is why lower dentures can feel looser.
Because every mouth is different, the fit, the bite and how the teeth are set all make a big difference to comfort and how natural your smile looks.

Your options
Types of full dentures we make
Conventional full dentures
Made once your gums have healed after teeth are removed, for the best long-term fit.
Immediate dentures
Made ahead of time and placed the same day your teeth come out, so you are never without teeth.
Lower suction dentures
A lower denture designed to seal and hold firmly without adhesive.
Implant dentures
A full denture that snaps onto implants for the most secure fit.
Premium dentures
Higher-end teeth and processing, like SR Ivocap, for better strength and a more natural look.
Replacement dentures
A new set when your current dentures are worn, loose or no longer look right.
The process
How we make your full dentures
Free consultation
We look at your mouth and any current dentures, talk through your options and check your insurance or CDCP coverage.
Digital design
We scan and design your dentures digitally, then make them in our own lab. That means fewer appointments and fewer remakes.
Fitting and adjustments
We fit your new dentures and adjust them until your bite feels right. Most patients are done in about 3 visits.
Living with dentures
How long do full dentures last?
- Your gums and jaw slowly change shape, so most dentures need a reline every couple of years to stay snug
- Many people replace their dentures every 5 to 7 years as the teeth wear down
- Cracks and chips can usually be repaired in our own lab
- Clean your dentures daily and soak them overnight to keep them fresh
Paying for dentures
Cost, insurance and CDCP
The cost of complete dentures depends on the type of denture and the materials you choose. We give you a clear estimate at your free consultation.
We take all major insurance and bill your insurer directly, and we are a registered CDCP provider. Financing is available through iFinance and Dentalcard.

Questions
Full denture FAQs
How long does it take to get full dentures?
With our digital process, most patients have their new full dentures in about 3 appointments, instead of the usual 6 or 7.
Will my lower denture stay in?
Lower dentures are harder to keep stable than uppers. If yours moves, we can look at a lower suction denture or snap-in implant dentures.
Do I need to see a dentist first?
No. You can book directly with us. A denturist is a registered oral health professional who makes and fits dentures.
Does CDCP cover full dentures?
CDCP covers dentures for eligible patients. We are a registered provider and can help you check your coverage before treatment starts.
Can I get dentures the same day my teeth are removed?
Yes. Immediate dentures are made ahead of time and placed on the day of your extractions.
